Bensonhurst is dense and largely two-family, which shapes the route. Along 18th Avenue and beneath the elevated on 86th Street, most customers live above the shops — buzzer, stairs, apartment number. On the side streets the houses have separate upstairs and downstairs entrances, and the single most useful thing you can tell us at booking is which door is yours. It's the difference between a driver knocking once and a driver circling the block.

Household sizes here run large, and so do the bags. Weekly volume for a family of five or six often lands well past what a laundromat trip can carry in one go, which is exactly where per-pound pickup pays for itself — there's no limit to how much goes in one collection and no second trip to make.

We also see a lot of table linen from Bensonhurst kitchens: Sunday tablecloths and napkins that need pressing rather than folding. Those are priced per item and come back pressed, in the same pickup as the regular wash.

18th Avenue and 86th Street are lined with bakeries, delis, restaurants and food markets, and a good part of what we collect in Bensonhurst is theirs rather than household laundry — aprons, kitchen towels, chef whites, staff shirts and table linen.
